What conditions does Dr. Kismet treat?
Dr. Kismet is trained in treating many health conditions. As a board-certified Family Medicine Physician, she is highly trained in general dermatology including diagnosing and treating most skin cancers as well as benign and bothersome skin lesions.
Dr. Kismet is well equipped to treat and remove skin spots and lesions such as skin tags, actinic keratosis, seborrheic keratosis, milia, melasma, spider varicosities, cherry angiomas, warts, and sunspots (solar lentigo).
Dr Kismet also has over two decades of diagnosing and treating many hormone conditions, specifically hypothyroidism (low thyroid) and menopause. She understands personally the challenges of weight loss and has a comprehensive weight management program that is a collaborative approach with lab testing, nutritional and exercise counseling and a range of medications now available and FDA approved to help you in your weight loss journey.
Dr. Kismet and her staff are also specialized in helping with your aesthetic journey. She has advanced training in aesthetic procedures such as botox, dermal fillers, PDO threading, radiofrequency micro needling, skin laser therapies, plasma pen therapies, sclerotherapy, and much more. Can Dr. Kismet be my primary care doctor?
Dr. Kismet is no longer practicing primary care. If you have a primary care provider, please keep this provider for your regular health care needs.
Does Dr. Kismet accept insurance?
Dr. Kismet does not accept insurance and cannot bill your insurance. You can, however, use your receipt to ask your insurance for repayment. If you have an HMO, this will probably not be possible. If you have an HSA (Heath Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account), some services may be covered. Please consult your HSA or FSA plan. If you do not have insurance, or if you have a high deductible plan, Dr. Kismet’s services may help provide a more affordable option.
Does Dr. Kismet do concierge medicine?
Currently, Dr. Kismet is not a concierge physician because she is not currently doing primary care. If you would like to see her for a consultation to discuss your health challenges, please send us a message.
Can Dr. Kismet prescribe medications?
Yes, Dr. Kismet is a licensed physician with a DEA license, and can prescribe medications. However, if a “prior authorization” is needed from your insurance company to pay for your prescription, additional charges may apply.
Can Dr. Kismet order labs?
Yes, Dr. Kismet can order labs to check different functions such as your blood sugar levels, cholesterol, hormone, and thyroid levels.
